The Photography Club successfully engaged over 50 students across more than 15 sessions, providing a structured and enriching learning experience...
Under the guidance of the club in-charge teachers Ms. Sherin, Ms. Sheela, and Mr. Devaraj. The sessions were conducted effectively, ensuring both theoretical understanding and practical exposure.
A wide range of topics was covered, including the Basics of Photography, Rule of Thirds, Nature Photography, Indoor and Outdoor Model Photography, Silhouette Photography, Rim Light Portraits, Split Lighting, Product Photography, Monochrome Portraits, and Portraits using Single Light setups. The curriculum was thoughtfully designed to enhance both creativity and technical skills.
Special emphasis was given to hands-on practice, allowing students to actively participate in each session. Every student was provided with equal opportunities to explore all the concepts and apply their learning through practical assignments. This approach helped in building confidence, improving observation skills, and encouraging artistic expression.
Overall, the Photography Club has been highly successful in nurturing students' interest and skills in photography. The active participation and enthusiasm shown by the students reflect the effectiveness of the program and the dedication of the faculty members.

The photography Club is a wonderful platform for students to explore and nurture their Creative talents. The sessions conducted so far have been engaging informative and highly beneficial...
There are 45 students in their Club. we Led different sections like:
- Basics of Photography
- Model Photography
- Rule of Thirds
- Silhouette Photography
Students gained a clear undertanding of camera handling, lighting and angle.
The interactive session gave students practical exposure to Portrait Photography. The rule of thirds gave students some ideas about framing photographs more artistically.
Since the number of cameras is limited students were not able to use it effectively. If more number of cameras can be provided, the club period would be something with an enriching experience.
I must say that the limited number of the availability of cameras was the major difficulty that we face. with more equipments student would have greater hands-on practice which is very essential in the Photography club.

The Creative Lab in St.Patrick's Academy was introduced in the year 2012 on the 29th of September. This year makes 3 years since the innovative project has made inroads into the curriculum of the school. It caters to all the students from Classes I to IX and covers a whole range of creative projects not dealt within an ordinary classroom. It is a very good opportunity for the students to learn by doing...
Ever since this project was first introduced to the students, they have taken to it ' like a duck takes to water'. The levels of creativity and imagination has soared beyond words and brought out the innate talents that they themselves were not probably aware of. This is due to the committed and dedicated staff of the creative lab. They are always willing to walk that extra mile when required to facilitate some project, activity or school chore for any function that takes place in the school.
When I put out an evaluation to the parents of the students to gauge the level of receptivity and knowledge they have towards an innovative project of this sort, the opinions right across the board were unanimous: "The Creative Lab has brought out the best of our wards and we readily appreciate its presence within the curriculum of the school. We do not demand any change of plans for the future." Very telling words, and why not, since this dedicated team has proved their worth in gold.
I'm very appreciative of the wonderful work they have been doing with the students and I continue to support and encourage them in the future of the school, to enhance their creativity and expertise to deal; with the challenges of the 21st century education.
